Phys. Rev. A 72, 012104 (2005) [4 pages]Hydrogen-atom spectrum under a minimal-length hypothesisReceived 25 February 2005; published 5 July 2005 The energy spectrum of the Coulomb potential with minimal length commutation relations [Xi,Pj]=iℏ{δij(1+βP2)+β′PiPj} is determined both numerically and perturbatively for arbitrary values of β′∕β and angular momenta ℓ. The constraint on the minimal length scale from precision hydrogen spectroscopy data is of the order of a few GeV−1, weaker than previously claimed. © 2005 The American Physical Society URL:
