Phys. Rev. A 71, 044701 (2005) [4 pages]Formation of the H− ion in the positronium–hydrogen-atom collisionReceived 23 July 2004; revised 10 November 2004; published 8 April 2005 The cross sections (both differential and total) for H− formation in the process Ps(1s)+H(1s)→e++H− in the energy range 10–500 eV have been studied. The calculations have been performed in the framework of the Coulomb-modified eikonal approximation and take account of the long-range Coulomb attraction between the outgoing e+ and H− ion in the final channel. © 2005 The American Physical Society URL:
