We investigate how the spatial cutoff frequency has strong effects on the position and nature of the primary bifurcation leading to traveling waves and enable the observation of secondary bifurcations of the traveling waves to a great variety of blinking and traveling bright droplets. We give an overview of the properties of waves and droplets. © 2003 The American Physical Society URL:
