In particular, we consider the detector’s ability to distinguish photon numbers, the quantum efficiency of the detectors, and the purity of entangled photon pairs. As a result, it is found that high-fidelity quantum teleportation, without the receiver feedback check, is realizable with multiphoton counters and conventional entangled pairs (visibility=90%) within a day. © 2002 The American Physical Society URL:
