Theoretical procedures are presented in detail for its application to photoionization from two-electron and divalent (e.g., alkaline-earth) atoms. Numerical examples, including doubly excited photoionization spectra above the N=2 threshold from the He 1s2s1S metastable state, are also given. © 2000 The American Physical Society URL:
