The first five coefficients in the small-angle expansion of the differential cross section for elastic scattering of fast electrons by H2, HD, and D2 molecules are calculated in the first Born approximation. Highly accurate electronic wave functions containing an explicit dependence on the interelectronic coordinate are used to describe the target. Numerical wave functions are used to describe the vibrational motions. The calculated small-angle expansion coefficients for the ground state of H2 are in good agreement with experiment.
