Phys. Rev. A 43, 5555–5559 (1991)Electromagnetic emission due to nonlinear forcesReceived 12 September 1990; published in the issue dated May 1991 A theory of emission of electromagnetic radiation in a plasma with Langmuir turbulence through the plasma-maser interaction owing to a dissipative nonlinear force is presented. The nonlinear force that arises as a result of the resonant interaction between electrons and modulated fields is shown to drive the instability. The growth rate of the electromagnetic emission is obtained, and the results are discussed. © 1991 The American Physical Society URL:
