Phys. Rev. A 40, 1713–1716 (1989)Fractal dimension of the accessible perimeter of diffusion-limited aggregation
We directly measure the fractal dimension DA of the accessible perimeter for diffusion limited aggregation. We find DA=D, where D is fractal dimension. Moreover, the number of inaccessible sites also scales as the mass of the entire aggregate, stabilizing at (36–37) % of the total perimeter after a short transient. Hence, the well-known anomalies in the multifractal analysis of the growth probability distribution are not a result of the possibility DA<D. © 1989 The American Physical Society URL:
